Source: ABSL 'APEX HYBRID LONG-SHORT FUND - Portfolio Statement as on June 30,2026', sheet 'SIFAHLS' inside the ZIP Monthly_Portfolio_SIF_30_June_26_c1ed1985ae.zip (inner file 30062026_ABSLMF_MonthlyDisclosure-SIF.xlsx). This is the AMC's LATEST published monthly portfolio as at 8-Aug-2026 - the Portfolio tab of apexsif.adityabirlacapital.com lists March, April, May and June 2026 only; no July 2026 file is published yet. The '% to Net Assets' column is stored as a FRACTION in the file; every pct here has been multiplied by 100 - no other arithmetic. The MAIN portfolio table contains no derivatives section and no Long/Short column, so side=LONG for all cash lines is DERIVED from their positive quantity and positive % to net assets. The short book is disclosed only in Note (3): (a) hedging futures Nil and (b) non-hedging futures Nil as on 30-Jun-2026; (c) 'Hedging Position through Options' lists 57 lines each with an EXPLICIT 'Long/Short' column reading Short and a '% to Net Assets' column - those lines are included here as type 'derivative' with the printed side, and the AMC states 'Total percentage of existing assets hedged through Options is 0.76%'; (d) 'Other than Hedging Positions through Options' lists one Nifty 50 Index line marked Long, with 'Total percentage of existing assets other than hedged through Options is 0.06%'; (e) swaps Nil. Because these option rows come from the notes, they carry no ISIN and no industry classification (null) and their pct is the option premium market value as % of net assets, not notional. Several underlyings appear twice at different strikes and are kept as separate printed lines. Equity portfolio turnover 0.21 times. Net assets Rs 8,051.69 lakhs.

Normalised from the AMC's published portfolio statement. Derivative market value, notional exposure and regulatory gross exposure can be measured on different bases, so the AMC's own statement remains controlling. Holdings are historical and change without notice — this is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

How the fund actually invests

Apex Hybrid Long-Short Fund is the first investment strategy under Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC's Apex SIF — an interval hybrid long-short strategy allotted on 25 March 2026, benchmarked to the NIFTY 50 Hybrid Composite Debt 50:50 Index, that takes daily subscriptions but permits redemption only twice a week.

An interval hybrid long-short strategy, not a daily-liquidity fund. The ISID describes it as "An interval investment strategy investing in equity and debt securities, including limited short exposure in equity and debt through derivatives", with the stated objective of "An interval investment strategy investing in arbitrage, long equity, debt, equity and debt derivatives, long short and REITs/InVITs including limited short exposure on permitted instruments through derivatives." The ISID adds that "There is no assurance that the investment objective of the Investment strategy will be achieved." Investment strategy code: APEX/I/H/HLSF/26/02/0001/ABSL. Source: https://apexsif.adityabirlacapital.com/uploads/ISID_Apex_Hybrid_Long_Short_Fund_aaedb51814.pdf

The equity and debt sleeves are each capped in a 35-65% band. Per the ISID asset-allocation table, Equity & Equity related instruments (including equity ETFs and units of equity oriented mutual fund schemes) are 35% minimum to 65% maximum of total assets; Debt and Money Market Instruments (including units of debt oriented mutual fund schemes and Debt ETFs) are likewise 35% to 65%; and Units issued by InvITs are 0% to 20%. The ISID footnote states: "Derivatives exposure will be upto 100% & Unhedged short position will be upto 25% of net assets for both equity and debt instruments." Source: https://apexsif.adityabirlacapital.com/uploads/ISID_Apex_Hybrid_Long_Short_Fund_aaedb51814.pdf

Redemption is restricted to Mondays and Wednesdays, and the units are listed on NSE. The ISID states the strategy "will offer purchase/switch-in of units on every Business Day on an ongoing basis and Redemption / Switch Out of Units during two times in a week i.e. every Monday and Wednesday of the week at NAV based prices". It further specifies that "Redemption requests received after Wednesday 3.00 PM till Monday 3.00PM would be considered for processing with Monday NAV, and requests received after Monday 3.00 PM till Wednesday 3.00 PM would be processed with Wednesday NAV." Units are listed on the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), and unitholders who wish to exit outside the redemption cycle "may do so through Stock Exchange at prevailing listed price". Sources: https://apexsif.adityabirlacapital.com/uploads/ISID_Apex_Hybrid_Long_Short_Fund_aaedb51814.pdf ; https://portal.amfiindia.com/spages/SSD_S-13.pdf

The entry ticket is Rs 10 lakh, and the risk band has been assessed at the low end of the SIF scale. Minimum application during the NFO and on a continuous basis is "Rs. 10 lakh and in multiples of Re. 1 thereafter subject to the minimum investment threshold guidelines as per the SIF framework", with Rs 1,00,000 for accredited investors; minimum additional purchase and minimum redemption are each Rs 10,000. The AMFI Investment Strategy Summary Document records the risk band as "Risk Level 2" at the time of launch and "Risk Level 1" as on date — the lowest bands on the 1-5 SIF risk scale. Sources: https://apexsif.adityabirlacapital.com/uploads/ISID_Apex_Hybrid_Long_Short_Fund_aaedb51814.pdf ; https://portal.amfiindia.com/spages/SSD_S-13.pdf

Allotment was on 25 March 2026 after a two-week NFO. The AMFI Investment Strategy Summary Document records NFO Open Date 06-Mar-26, NFO Close date 18-Mar-26, Allotment Date 25-Mar-26 and Reopen Date 30-Mar-26. The same document lists actual expense ratios of 1.45% (Regular) and 0.43% (Direct), Citibank NA as custodian and Computer Age Management Services Limited as registrar. Documents & source files

Everything on this page traces back to a document Aditya Birla SL published. Here they are, so you can read the primary source yourself rather than take our word for it.

When new documents appear. AMCs publish the previous month's factsheet and portfolio disclosure in the first week or so of each month — so from around the 8th you can generally expect the prior month-end file. Our desk re-checks every AMC on that cycle and updates the holdings and figures on this page. Links point to the AMC's own site, so you always land on their current file, not a stale copy of ours.

Every Hybrid Long-Short SIF we track

All Hybrid Long-Short funds we track, with their latest NAV, trailing returns, size and risk level. This fund is highlighted. Click a column heading to sort the table; the # column then shows each fund's position on that column. It is arithmetic on the period you chose, not a rating or a recommendation. Most SIFs are young, so check each fund's age before comparing. Open any fund's page from its name, or use the compare tool for a side-by-side view.

#NAV
Loading live data…

“—” means the fund is too young for that period or the figure isn't disclosed yet. Default order: 3-month return. NAV and returns follow the plan selected above (Growth option); AUM and risk level from Value Research.

What a Hybrid Long-Short SIF actually does

Invests across equity and debt within SEBI-defined bands, using derivatives both to hedge and to take short positions. Unhedged short exposure is capped at 25% of net assets. The most common SIF flavour, usually positioned as a balanced-advantage alternative.

Every Specialized Investment Fund sits between mutual funds and PMS: a ₹10 lakh minimum (aggregated per PAN per AMC), SEBI's Chapter VI-C framework, and mutual-fund-grade taxation — equity-oriented strategies attract 12.5% LTCG after 12 months. Learn the mechanics on our What is a SIF page, or read the August 2026 Coverage Report.

On sourcing. The scheme facts on this page are taken from the AMC's own Scheme Information Document, Investment Strategy Information Document and Key Information Memorandum, with the source linked above. The live NAV comes from AMFI; AUM and risk level from Value Research; the expense ratio from AMFI. Where a detail is not disclosed by the AMC we say so rather than estimate it — we never guess a number.
