What MeraSIF collects, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it. Written to be read, not to be survived — in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
The short version. You can read all of MeraSIF without giving us anything. We use one analytics cookie to count visits — no advertising, no tracking you across other sites. We only hold personal data if you submit an enquiry form, and then only to call you back. We never sell it. One email to grievance@trustner.in gets it deleted.
Only what you type into an enquiry form. MeraSIF is a research and education site. You can read every page — every fund page, the comparison tool, the holdings data, the reports — without giving us anything at all. We have no login and no paywall.
When you do submit one of our enquiry forms (the contact form, the calculator, or the suitability quiz), we receive:
We do not ask for, and this website cannot accept, your PAN, Aadhaar, bank account, card, demat or password details. Nothing on MeraSIF processes a transaction. If you go on to invest, that happens on the AMC's or the platform's own KYC-compliant systems, under their privacy terms.
Measurement was enabled on 9 August 2026. Before that date MeraSIF set no cookies at all. We are stating the change here on the day it happened rather than letting this page drift out of date.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which explanations people actually read. It sets two first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>) whose only job is to tell a returning visit from a new one. They hold a randomly generated number. They do not hold your name, email, phone or anything you typed into a form.
How it is configured — these are deliberate choices, not defaults:
We also store one local storage entry that remembers a panel you dismissed. It holds no identifier and is never transmitted. Clearing cookies alone will not remove it, because it is not a cookie — use your browser’s “clear site data” control.
How to refuse it. Block or clear cookies for merasif.com in your browser settings, use a private window, or install any standard tracker-blocking extension — all of them stop this measurement, and every page of the site keeps working normally. Nothing here is behind a cookie wall.

fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — our pages use the Inter typeface, served from Google’s font network, so Google receives your IP address to deliver the files. This happens on every page whether or not you interact with anything.We do not sell your personal data. We do not pass it to unrelated marketers, lead brokers or data aggregators. We do not send you unrelated promotional mail because you once used the calculator.
That is the complete list. There is no advertising network, no data broker and no third-party CRM in the chain.
Enquiry records are kept for as long as they are needed for the purpose you gave them for — responding to you, and our record-keeping obligations as a distributor — and are removed when you ask us to remove them, or when they are no longer needed.
To be precise about a claim you will see on many distributor sites: the long retention periods under SEBI and AMFI rules apply to transactional records. An enquiry submitted on MeraSIF is not a transaction, so it is not held under those rules. If you want your enquiry erased, we will erase it.

To exercise any of these, write to grievance@trustner.in — a single email is enough, you do not need a form or a specific format. We acknowledge within 24 hours and aim to resolve within 21 calendar days, in line with AMFI norms.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the DPDP Act requires — we will not quietly absorb it.
MeraSIF is written for adults evaluating a category with a ₹10 lakh statutory minimum investment. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted details, write to grievance@trustner.in and we will delete it.

We date this page rather than saying "we may update from time to time". If something material changes — a new processor, an analytics tool going live, a change in what we collect — we change the date below and describe what changed. If a change materially reduces your protections, we will say so at the top of this page rather than leaving you to spot it.
