Source: Bandhan 'Arudha Equity Long-Short Fund - Monthly Portfolio Statement as on 31 July, 2026' (sheet 'Portfolio ASIF02'). This is a DIFFERENT portfolio from the Arudha Hybrid strategy; no line was carried across. The '% to Net Assets' column is stored as a FRACTION in the file; every pct here has been multiplied by 100 - no other arithmetic. The main table has NO Long/Short column, so side is DERIVED from the sign of Quantity and of % to Net Assets (negative = SHORT). Corroborated by the AMC's derivative annexure, which labels all 8 stock-futures underlyings and all 6 option underlyings 'Short'. The section printed '(a) Index / Stock Futures' also contains six written CALL option lines (rows beginning 'CALL '); they are typed 'derivative' here as printed. Disclosed exposure statements: 'Total %age of existing assets hedged through futures: -9.93'; 'Total %age of existing assets hedged through put / call options: -0.17'; 'Total outstanding exposure in derivative instruments at the end of the period: Rs. 1119.39 Lakhs'; non-hedging futures/options and swaps Nil; Portfolio Turnover Ratio 0.39 times. Derivative lines carry no ISIN/industry in the source, hence null. GRAND TOTAL market value Rs 11,080.7783414 lakhs.

Normalised from the AMC's published portfolio statement. Derivative market value, notional exposure and regulatory gross exposure can be measured on different bases, so the AMC's own statement remains controlling. Holdings are historical and change without notice — this is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

How the fund actually invests

Arudha Equity Long-Short Fund is an open-ended equity strategy that holds 80-100% of total assets in listed equity and equity-related instruments, including up to 25% of net assets in unhedged short derivative positions, with the balance in debt, money-market instruments and InvITs.

Daily dealing, unlike its hybrid sibling. The KIM states that investors can subscribe on a daily basis, on business days only, at applicable NAV, and that redemption frequency is "Daily (only on business days) or at such frequency as may be decided by the AMC, subject to approval of SEBI." This is an open-ended strategy, not the interval structure used by Arudha Hybrid Long-Short Fund.

Equity allocation runs from 80% to 100%. The KIM asset-allocation table sets investments in equity and equity-related instruments (including unhedged short exposure) at 80% minimum to 100% maximum of total assets, debt and money-market instruments at 0% to 20%, and units issued by InvITs at 0% to 20%. All equity investments must be in securities that are listed or to be listed.

The unhedged short book is capped at a quarter of net assets. Maximum short exposure through unhedged derivative positions in equity and equity-related instruments is 25%. Cumulative gross exposure through equity, debt, money-market instruments, derivative positions, repo transactions, credit default swaps and InvITs must not exceed 100% of net assets, and the strategy will not invest in unrated debt instruments or commodity derivatives.

A short exit load applies for the first 30 days. The KIM Load Structure charges 0.50% of applicable NAV if units are redeemed or switched out on or within 30 days from the date of allotment, and nil thereafter. Switches between different Plans and Options within the same investment strategy attract no exit load.

Risk band sits below its benchmark's. The NFO KIM assigned Risk Band Level 5, matching the benchmark's Level 5. The factsheet as on 30 June 2026 shows the strategy at Risk-Level 3 while NIFTY 500 TRI remains at Risk-Level 5. Month-end AUM was Rs 91.14 crore, with a base expense ratio of 2.10% (Regular) and 0.78% (Direct).

Documents & source files

Everything on this page traces back to a document Bandhan published. Here they are, so you can read the primary source yourself rather than take our word for it.

When new documents appear. AMCs publish the previous month's factsheet and portfolio disclosure in the first week or so of each month — so from around the 8th you can generally expect the prior month-end file. Our desk re-checks every AMC on that cycle and updates the holdings and figures on this page. Links point to the AMC's own site, so you always land on their current file, not a stale copy of ours.

Every Equity Long-Short SIF we track

All Equity Long-Short funds we track, with their latest NAV, trailing returns, size and risk level. This fund is highlighted. Click a column heading to sort the table; the # column then shows each fund's position on that column. It is arithmetic on the period you chose, not a rating or a recommendation. Most SIFs are young, so check each fund's age before comparing. Open any fund's page from its name, or use the compare tool for a side-by-side view.

What an Equity Long-Short SIF actually does

Holds at least 80% in equity and equity-related instruments, with unhedged short exposure of up to 25% of net assets taken through derivatives — an all-cap approach with a derivative overlay.

Every Specialized Investment Fund sits between mutual funds and PMS: a ₹10 lakh minimum (aggregated per PAN per AMC), SEBI's Chapter VI-C framework, and mutual-fund-grade taxation — equity-oriented strategies attract 12.5% LTCG after 12 months. Learn the mechanics on our What is a SIF page, or read the August 2026 Coverage Report.

On sourcing. The scheme facts on this page are taken from the AMC's own Scheme Information Document, Investment Strategy Information Document and Key Information Memorandum, with the source linked above. The live NAV comes from AMFI; AUM and risk level from Value Research; the expense ratio from AMFI. Where a detail is not disclosed by the AMC we say so rather than estimate it — we never guess a number.
